| Our Mission : |
| |
North
American Dog Sports and Registry was founded with the idea
of promoting obedience, workability, health, and the owner/canine
relationship. NADSR offers an alternative to other
registries because we supply the owners and their dogs with the
opportunities and tools to build
a strong respectful relationship.
|
| Events : |
| |
Participation
in NADSR events is completely voluntary. Individuals, breeders,
kennels, 4H groups, dog clubs and rescue shelters are all
invited to register and/or participate. A few examples of the events
we offer include:
Canine Social Citizen,
Freshman Handlers, Obedience, Agility, Tracking, Weight Pulling,
and Hunting

a dog club or participate in one that is already established... |

NADSR
does require that you register
your dog with us. With your registration, we will be able to keep up
with your progress in your chosen event and issue TITLES to your dog for
a job well done.
Registration requirements include a one time registration fee, a clear photo
of the dog and a copy of a pedigree if available. If your dog is not
presently registered or is a mixed breed, they are welcome to enter any
NADSR event but are required to register their dog as such in order for us
to maintain a record of points earned.
Registration options include:
$15.00 For an 8.5 x 11 Registration Certificate with a gold border and NADSR
Logo, a picture of the dog and up to a four-generation pedigree.(if
available)
$10.00 for a Photo ID Card
$20.00 for both Registration Certificate and Photo ID Card.
(Check Or Money order only)
Things that are available on the pedigree include, name, sex, date of birth,
breeder, owner, titles earned (from NADSR or other events), registration
number, microchip number, breed, color and bloodline.

For information on starting a club, please read
Starting A Club.
Clubs will receive
our full support with club contracts, member forms, score
cards, rules and regulations, advertising which includes flyers,
6 road signs, 2 vinyl banners, and 4-magnetic signs, certificates
of achievements and the availability of hands on training as needed.
At each event NADSR will furnish prizes provided by our many sponsors.
Many children in 4-H and other groups are missing
out on the benefits of the livestock shows because of the lack of
ability to own a large animal. Many families own a dog, therefore
the child and dog would benefit from the experience. Each
child will learn about responsibility, loyalty, companionship, courage,
dedication, confidence and a life time respect for their canine
friend. These attributes will build character that will
carry over to adulthood and hopefully to future generations. In
the process, the dog will benefit by becoming social, well mannered
and loved.
When a litter of puppies are born to NADSR registered parents,
NADSR will mail you pre-printed puppy applications with
all the information needed for the new owners. There is no charge
for this service. The new owner will mail this in with $15.00 and
a picture and NADSR will mail them a Registration Certificate. At
a later date when the puppy has reached maturity a new picture can
be submitted and the certificate will be reissued for a $10.00 charge.
